Chico State is seeking your best and brightest students as nominees for our $24,000 Bell Family Presidential Scholarships.

As the November 30 deadline approaches to apply for California State Universities, we want to be sure that students who are interested in Chico State’s College of Agriculture have a direct contact to assist them in their college and scholarship application process. We need your help in identifying the top seniors in your classes for our programs and scholarships. Through their communication with our office and the many outreach events we offer, students will have a unique opportunity to become more connected to the College of Agriculture and start their collegiate career on a path of success.

Among the many scholarship opportunities available to incoming freshmen, our largest is the Bell Family Presidential Scholarship. This scholarship is a $24,000 award ($6,000 per year for four years) given to five incoming freshman each year in the College of Agriculture. This scholarship requires the applicant to have:

  • a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • a 1200 (minimum) total SAT I Reasoning Test Score (includes verbal plus mathematics) or a 27 (minimum) ACT score
  • California residency
  • a proven commitment to agriculture

In addition to the four Bell Family Presidential Scholarships, we have over $75,000 that we award yearly to students in the College of Agriculture. Even if your student does not qualify for a Presidential Scholarship, we want to help them apply for Chico State and our other College of Agriculture scholarships.

To nominate your top students, respond via email mkarolyi@csuchico.edu by November 20 with the student’s name, email, and mailing address.

We will use this information to send prospective students formal invitations to any recruitment events as well as additional information about our programs and opportunities.

Thank you for your support!
